A surge in enquiries over April indicates a three-year trend of plummeting Chinese property investment could be coming to a close.

Data recently released in the Foreign Investment Review Board’s 2018-19 annual report indicated foreign residential real estate investment had declined sharply.

According to FIRB, the number of foreign investment approvals for existing dwellings collapsed from a peak of 5,876 in 2015-16 to 1,312 in 2018-19.
